How to write an Abstract

Take a trip to the library of your choice. Don’t be afraid to ask the librarian for help they are trained in research.

Use critical thinking to thoroughly read every source and determine if it is legitimate.

Print out your research.Read through your research, take notes on what you think is important.

2)Organize your notes

Collect all of your highlighted phrases and ideas into categories based on topic.

3)Construct a preliminary references page

Mark down the author, page number, title, and publishing information for each resource.

4)Develop your thesis

The thesis statement is a statement at the beginning of your paper that states the main goal or argument of your paper.

5)Determine main points

Write your main points down on paper, and then organize the related research under each.

6)Finalize your outline

Justify main points to the left, and indent subsections and notes from your research below each.
