The whole agenda has resulted in different policy uptakes by people to how they implement some of the decisions about their work.

The same applies to police officers as this is more evident in the US and more developed countries. It is a common issue that has seen it also affect the police force and other institutions. Many countries try to fend off racism remarks be it in football matches, institutions or any other day-to-day operational activities. Police officers both white and African- American have different views on several important issues that relate to the work they do. There have been scenes of fatal encounters among white cops with the black community who have made protests to how some of their issues were not correctly handled and believed that racial differences are the chief cause for their wide protests wider.

In the US, for example, there exist several city police departments who have a majority of the Hispanic community or the black community whereas others have no majority community making them so diverse, but this does bridge the gap that exists between the completion of the police department and the local population. Some of the questions that many people try to find out is to whether police officers of different racial and ethnical backgrounds act differently while acting on their jobs. Many people wonder why such occurrences occur because they believe most of the officers are trained to doing their jobs similarly ensuring that they treat all their civilians the same regardless of their race limiting discrimination among the public civilians.

Research shows that there is no causal relationship to how an officer treats members of the public whenever they respond to calls or question people on the streets and it found that black officers were more likely than white officers to work in black neighborhoods because they are expected to provide any information they hear, referrals they get to other partner agencies but most of all treat the citizens respectfully unless in demonstrations where they were expected to use more force in taming them.

The National Police Research Platform surveyed among nearly 8,000 sworn officers were working in departments of 100 officers or more find that many black officers are twice as likely as their fellow white counterparts in saying how the recent developments of black people dying are signs of an extensive issue which are not isolated incidents.

Equality is a fundamental right which many institutions try to abide by them. It is seen that many white officers believe that the US has made all the necessary changes required in offering the same equality to the black community, however, 29% of them agree to this making the public become divided along these racial lines. The are many policy debates that offer more differences of vital opinions between the two different racial communities such as the use of body cameras that are expected to have policemen act more appropriately whenever they are dealing with the public to try and limit the kind of discrimination that the country is talking about. Racial background differences exist among the black and white officers as research suggests that many of the officers – black are more likely than their white counterparts in saying how body cams can offer change to the way the officers behave.

Working as a police officer is a tougher task, and thus the recent high-profile incidents that involve the police force in the States concerning black Americans have made it hard for the officers to effectively concentrate on their duties ensuring that most of the policies channel out effectively.
